That’s baloney… there are tonnes of great Christian books out there. Hmm… I’m not sure I agree. I think most Christian books written and printed these days (and this applies much more alarmingly to virtually all new Bible ‘editions’ for sure) are written No.1 for profit $$$$ and No.2 because the author has some idea he rather likes – you know, the doctrines of men we hear about in The Bible so often.
OK I am being a little unfair as there ARE actually a lot of sincere and careful Christian writers out there who do actually try and help you understand the scriptures and who’s agendas are not to harm or hurt or draw you into some man-made doctrine that fits with their understanding (or as is probably more likely the case – their lifestyle – I mean how many people who are in a same-gender relationship would write an anti-same-gender relationship book – we’re all guilty of this right?.. show-horning our beliefs to fit our lifestyles).
However – this does not discount the fact that we are warned over and over and over by Jesus in the last days what? – not to be deceived as deceivers abound everywhere – you know, those people that would make “merchandise of men.”
Watch out and weigh all things in light of the Holy scriptures and God’s word with the Holy Spirit invited into your heart, mind and understanding and you won’t go wrong, and then no man will be able to pluck you from the fathers hand with their smooth words and doctrines and man-made interpretations of The Bible and traditions of men!
