Now correct me if I’m wrong, but it couldn’t be anything to do with the way we live could it? I mean, it couldn’t be because we are doing things that are contrary to God’s laws? (specifically his 10 commandments summarised by Jesus Christ in The Bible in two simple commands; to love God with all your heart, mind and soul, and to love your neighbour as yourself).
Today, as in past times throughout history we have taken once again as in the days of Rome to glorifying all things that are contrary to God to the enth degree!
We know from scripture that when we do not love truth (it doesn’t say we have to necessarily know what truth is – but simply love it and God will supply the rest!) they are fooled by ‘strong delusion’ that God promises to send them as a penalty for not loving and looking for truth. Is this unfair? Not really – how can it be? If one does not love truth, whatever that may be, one cannot be excused.
And so we see that today people have not only been fed a diet of junk-food spirituality, MacDonald’s Christianity with smooth sermons to go, they are being fed a constant, incessant diet of gore, violence, lies, and a never-ending mantra that one man’s truth is as good as any another man’s truth – a statement that literally eats itself and cuts itself off at the knees – a statement that itself professes to be truth – and yet to the blinded minds of those that do not love truth seems a logical statement.
God Winks in Our Ignorance
True, but He also demands repentance when we are faced with truth. So today as a result of the tidal wave of degenerate entertainment on TV, books and in movies, we have a generation much like the people of ancient Rome that gathered to see people torn apart by wold beasts as entertainment, being numb to it’s true depravity and having no idea of the wrath they will bring down on their own heads simply by watching this stuff, unrepentant or acknowledging its wickedness. By watching, reading or even not condoning it, we are being complicit and aiding its spread and corrupting and hardening nature!
