When an insider at the white house was asked; “how does the American government intend to deal with the Chinese debt of £1.2 trillion dollars?” (forgive me if that figure is incorrect as I am no money man, but lest’s make no mistake – it’s unthinkably massive and un-payable just like the US debt total) – she had a very surprising, yet at the same time an unsurprising reply. Instead of giving the asker an answer outlining the government’s plan to pay the money back, she simply said;
“When you owe a bank $100,000 – the bank owns you.”
I would suggest we keep this response in mind when we still consider America to be it’s own ruler and as we watch Chinese businessmen buy up US businesses and the Chinese government dumping US stocks and bonds as it brings into existence it’s own world currency with Russia.
