We all know Jesus asked us to believe in him. But did he mean; believe that I exist? Believe that I am the son of God? Yes to all of those things, but he also meant something else when he said believe ON me. He wanted you to believe in the righteousness of his teachings and of his person. This righteousness was preached about by others.
“John came unto you unto the way of righteousness and you believed him not.”
The sorting of sheep from goats is more than just believing Jesus existed or was the son of God – Satin believed that. Your heart is seen by all by what you choose to believe in, and I personally never heard Jesus Christ say anything that wasn’t true or righteous so I believe both in and on Him.
Therefore regardless of wether he even existed – to reject Jesus Christs’ teachings is to reject pure goodness! Don’t just believe Jesus was the son of God and was the Word come in the flesh… believe also on Jesus’ teachings as being truth!
