How do we know? – well apart from the obvious – that they deny it – their lips are moving etc – and how could they resist the $$$ and the love of money being the root of all evil etc – because I have experimented and hey-presto what appears in my YouTube video feed (and other feeds)? Precisely what I have been talking about to this person or that person earlier in the week and sometimes even in the day.
Today it was a particular brand of a rather obscure guitar foot pedal I was talking to a shop keeper about – I most DEFINITELY had not previously searched for this item as I didn’t want one until I saw it in the shop and have an older model already. It’s the detail that scared me – the make model and brand. But they slipped up there – they should of at least made the delay a few days – not hours if they want to appear like they’re not listening.
It’s quite scary when you think who else might want your data at a later date should push come to shove and what it could be used for – the worst case scenario being blackmail – perhaps you said something unpleasant about your President – there’s no end of applications. But for the tech companies data is obviously the new gold. And others too have experimented and found this is true.
So the question now is not (as the guy in the video says below) are they listening?.. but do you care?.. and do you want to do something about it? If y0u do I suggest you get googling – oh no – it’s impossible to escape! In any case – if you think I am being over cautious s- even paranoid – think a third time – here is more proof they are out there listening… doo doo doo dee dee da da…
