OK – this is not ‘Christian’ related other than perhaps Elvis was a well known Christian – often stopping mid-concert to correct an audience member when they would call out THE KING! to remind them who the real king Jesus was!
Anyway – this particular topic today has long been debated. Geraldo I have read says he was there and even organised he press conference. He also is said to have stated he was at the Madison Square Garden rehearsals. Quite possible given Elvis is known to have rehearsed sometimes in the hotels he was staying in on tour as in Elvis That’s The Way It Is movie.

So now for the big question; was Geraldo Rivera At Elvis Presley’s Madison Square Garden Press Conference? Absolutely yes and here is the proof you’ve all been waiting for – a young and tanned Geraldo and his red pen near the Colonel suggesting he did have more to do with this than just a plain old reporter firing questions.
Now there IS – a better more full frontal video shot I have seen of Geraldo but I cannot for the life of me remember where I saw it – ie on which MSG press conference clip but I will locate it and add it back here by hook or by crook.
Yep – thats the same profile and nose alright!
We’ve seen some snippets of pro MSG footage but there must be more as 3 separate professional camera crews were there…
Now I have spoken to a fellow that was at one of the four sell-out Madison Square Garden (MSG) concerts and SPOKE to one of 3 separate TV crews and he is convinced some or all have the concert professionally filmed in the can. Can Geraldo Rivera help us rummage through the dusty archives of ABC/NBC etc find the lost Elvis Presley Madison Square Garden Professionally filmed footage?!!
Geraldo’s profile / trademark moustache and wavy hair can be clearly seen in this footage below stood next to Colonel Tom Parker…
