Once the courtship with Jesus is over when we first became a Christian, it’s easy to get complacent and forget that how we behave is being watched by everyone who is still outside His grace – often watching us with a view to weather or not they should also give their lives to the Lord – to see if we and our faith, and the way we live is for real and therefore perhaps God and His power is real (as most people know deep down that it takes super-human intervention to live holy lives in this world, and when real holiness is seen in people it’s real evidence of God).
We must remember we Christians are now part of the Royal Family. Not the British royal family (little ‘r’) at Buckingham Palace (that incidentally changed their name from ‘Saxe-Coburg-Gotha’ to ‘Windsor‘ to make it sound more English – that should make people ask a few questions) but the real and heavenly Royal Family with Jesus as our King, that non of us are worthy to be part of but that having accepted our wretchedness and repented of our sins have been given grace enough to become part of.
So as Royals you must lift your heads with the dignity of someone that is part of the Royal Family but remember we are called for a very public life – more so than the ‘royals’ we see on the news, and whilst it’s very hard to live Godly, and all that do will suffer persecution to one degree or another, and it takes guts and courage and prayer and commitment, we need to live that way so that others might see His love and be drawn to Him.
I love God, Christ, The Bible. art, painting, playing music, improvising music, guitar (first instrument), drumming (not very good at it:), and anything musical or art related. Quick note – my articles are usually spun off in minutes so forgive any errors – hopefully you get the essence of the article and I’ll pick up mistakes later.
