Rapture

The Pre-Trib Rapture must be True as God would not allow His Bride to be Beaten Up!

You hear it said these days;

“The Pre-Trib Rapture must be true as God would not allow His Bride to be Beaten Up.”

That’s an interesting notion. I wonder how the coptic Christians would react to me saying that to them as they were about to be beheaded? I supposed beheading is not the same as being beaten up, as Jesus Christ our Lord – whom we are to follow by picking up our crosses – was before he was crucified.

I am not pre-trib or post-trib – I am; it doesn’t matter and it never mattered to me-trib. It talks of ‘tribulation’ and does seem to allude to one ‘great’ tribulation granted but t my mind only to show us that God will bring everything back in line with His order. The order is debatable – I have heard great arguments both sides, despite being told by The Bible not to argue or debate – we seem to constantly miss this one as debating is fun and I get to show you how learned I am and how little you know (tongue firmly in cheek).

But the problem I always had when heard about this ‘debate’ (and The Bible referred to this bad group of people it calls ‘debators‘ – you know the people that love to debate but not the truth?.. or described as ever learning but never coming to knowledge of the truth.) It never occurred to me that the pre/mid/post tribulation should even be an issue until I heard people talking about ‘Left-Behind’ and the like.

Straight away the excitement I saw in people was less about Christ’s return and executing justice, and much more about escaping pain and suffering. Naturally there will be exceptions but this is the idea I get – right or wrong and understandably so – I mean, who wants to be fed to lions or be beheaded?

To me God’s dealing with everything in his own time, no man knows the day of the hour and that’s enough. I am not looking to escape persecution so if the tribulation is before or after is to me irrelevant.

My own views of course – always open to be corrected!
