I’m not sure why the ‘global reset ‘ is suddenly all over the net, and folks are discussing it like it’s something new? Some of us have been expecting and talking about a reset of this kind for years (ie wiping out of debt of nations and people in order to gain more power and control and ‘start again’) – I’m sure this has been discussed by writers in their dystopian novels and essays before many of the folks implementing it were born. The use of financial and other sweeteners, incentives or social exclusions and hoops to jump through in order to participate in society is as old as the hills and was obviously the perfect way to appeal to the young in their quest for utopia and the perfect way to get the excuse to do it.
I don’t know what was discussed at Davoz – but I’ve known (or made an ‘educated’ guess) for at least 20 years how things will pan out based on basic knowledge of men, their madness and lust for control and power and technology – in fact it’s pretty simple to figure out – you just imagine what you would do if you were them and had that kind of control and did not believe in God – you end up with what we have – a top-down imposition of more and more rules and regulations dished out by computers so no one can or will take the blame – it’s no clever deduction on my part.
We’ll all be taught from a central approved computer/database that makes all social, financial and resource allocation decisions as to allocating resources controlled by a few oligarchs (tech companies and bankers) but appearing to be fair and democratic – that way no one can be accused of monopolising and the system will be embraced. The parts are very much already in place. Governments will be obsolete.
C.S Lewis’ That Hideous Strength is s N.I.C.E foretelling of this kind of technocracy – all be it with some aspects quite a bit different. And of course we have Orwell and the probably more accurate (though it will be a micx) of Brave New World thrown in. Oh, and don’t forget – it will look rather like the Chinese model (been saying this for years and Im sure others saw this coming) a mix of top-down enforcement and capitalism – I call it a freetatorship (contradiction in terms but basically an illusion of freedom) with the social points system thrown in (no Black Mirror was not first to come up with this).
I designed a v simple one of those myself in 2002 – and a more complicated version in 2006 (I abandoned) ONLY to keep folks on a singles website physically safe – but it’s unethical to use forced conformity and more recently socially engineering the public at large which has been happening big scale via search engines and tonne of other ways for a good while. Jesus’ much better way was bottom-up self reform but since the new world will be largely atheistic – top-down reform and subliminal social engineering is naturally the best they can come up with. I for one have been saying for years we will end up with the Chinese model of business and government merging. It’s been pretty obvious for decades that this is the way governments, businessmen and tech leaders in bed together would take things – I believe a famous president warned of it too way back.
So here it is finally – The Bible was 100% correct. St John knew it would all come down to a global financial system that would be brought in via bribery or incentives – and of course promises of seats at the new world table. And it’s amusing and frightening to see them not understanding the absolute necessity of separation of powers, and to think they likely imagine they are sitting on the crest of a some new technological wave that so many writers and thinkers talked of and warned of before they could read.
