We often hear it said that the founding fathers were against Christianity – or that it wasn’t high on their moral agenda. But on examination we find this like so many other re-writings of history recently is false. It’s true Jesus was a-political, and there is good reason they wanted to keep the old British style church rule and heavy hand out of politics – but real Bible based – Jesus style Christianity?.. this was definitely on their minds as imperfect men as they were. Let’s look at just one of the father’s statements below of his views on real, unadulterated religion, the love of God and the Bible.

I do not believe that the Constitution was the offspring of inspiration, but I am as satisfied that it is as much the work of a Divine Providence as any of the miracles recorded in the Old and New Testament.
