That’s right – we all know it’s true, those 50 or more silly old unlearned men – some of which were fluent in multiple languages that King James got to translate the text were really all stupid and in any case, they all had a hidden agenda – even though they had the Puritans breathing down their necks and vice versa at every line, each group checking the other every word seven times.
Yep – this means that only leaned men that go to seminary and study the greek and the hebrew for years can tell us the real meaning of the Bible and that God is not capable (miraculous though He claims to be and must be if He is any God at all) of preserving His words and meanings… even though The Bible itself tells us in no interpretable terms that; “we are in need of no man to teach us” and that; “The Holy Spirit will teach you all things” yes ALL things! Oh – perhaps you have never read that – please look it up:) I was amazed when I read that for the first time.
Hmm, then that puts a whole bunch of prosperity preachers out of business don’t it! Well no… because God loves to use His faithful servants, preachers and teachers and pastors to expound and edify and explain – but He has somewhat of a dislike for snakes – you know the kind of animal that tells you; “did God say?..!” and; “well only we can tell you the true meaning of…” etc etc. Those are the ones to avoid and God loves good honest preaching and teaching from the heart – but the fact is – if you are on a desert island and have not been super-blessed as we have at the great expense of godly men who gave their lives to give it to us in these times of darkness and confusion as a very welcome life-manual – a Bible – no the God of the universe is thankfully still able to communicate with His beings.
