There is a whole lot of talk regarding the current crisis and usual politicians race-baiting black against white for their own ends – and fights about what’s wrong – who’s right and who’s wrong and what the solution is and who should bow the knee and who should say sorry for their father’s past sins etc.
But I just wanted to weigh-in my two cents for what it’s worth (who’s gonna listen to a two-penny blogger?). Here’s my take; this issue of black and white never entered my head as a child – people were just people. I only realised it was an issue when I grew up on a diet and black this and white that in the media. Granted – I’m not suggesting the issues should not be brought up and constantly addressed and kept in order – that’s why I added this page under Social Justice.
But let’s be clear: there will be NO peace that’s deep and lasting until men’s hearts towards their fellow man -are changed. You can make as many laws as you like – and devise as many equal opportunity schemes as you like – fund as many minority groups as you like – and send police officers on as many racism courses as you like – but these are all sticking plasters – top-down solutins that will last for a few minutes at best.
No peace between ‘races’ until we realise their are NONE – we are ALL of one blood and ALL have mixed blood
What we need is to stop teaching kids they came from a rock or an amoeba – what do you expect except actions that reflect survival of the fittest doctrine other than amoebic behaviour?! It won’t stop until we stop teaching KIDS (ie from the ground up not top down solutions) that we are all different ‘races’ and stop calling each other ‘black’ and ‘white’ on forms and documents. What’s necessary to know is simply your place of birth and your place or residence – everything else perpetuates the problem. And lastly – the prince of peace told us the answer is only found in this: “nor give heed to endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith. For we are ALL OF ONE BLOOD!” King James Version
