Jesus Christ said he never came to abolish the law but to fulfil it – to do it – to put it into practice and let us see keeping the law in action! But he was equally clear that the law cannot save us alone – only make us aware of our sin – our need for redemption and point us the right way. But we also know from the Bible that faith without works is meaningless – and rightly so. What’s the use in being kind with words and not in deeds? Something I have often been guilty of. None at all. Better no kind words and a few good deeds, than kind words and no good deeds to fulfil those words.
So we are saved by grace and not by works, and we are to model Jesus wherever possible, keep the law where possible (how hard is it to honour ones parents – or not to covet your neighbors’ house or car – not that hard I say) and doing works to not only comfort the poor and anyone that is in need, but so that other men might see our good works and come to the Lord also (that’s also from The Bible).
I love God, Christ, The Bible. art, painting, playing music, improvising music, guitar (first instrument), drumming (not very good at it:), and anything musical or art related.
