Is that for real? Yep. So which command do I believe would eradicate most of the world’s problems if it was hung on the wall on every home, every courthouse, every school, every prison, every place everywhere? Do not covet. Really? Indeed – man’s biggest problem and the root of nearly all problems in the world – poverty etc come about because one man covets another man’s possessions.
The Bible says – if my people will call on me I will heal their land – not – if we elect the right leader. Despite how things appear – the health of any nation is directly related to the spiritual health of the people – NOT the leaders. We assume they hold the cards – but actually – the cards are always held by a few faithful people and prayers.
Do not covet
On a small-time personal level it’s his neighbour’s house, wife, car, holidays, job – but on a larger is one business stealing another’s intellectual property, and on a national level it’s one despot coveting another man’s land and resources. In order to take over another man’s land you need power – and for power you need money.
The bad guys wouldn’t become good – but they would be called out by the people with eyes open before they started
So Jesus was right on the money when he said the love of $$ was at the root of all evil. It’s no wonder the adversary of God has conspired – yep – there’s that word again – to remove the ten beautiful commandments from all these private and public places to desensitise the masses to sin and cause the people to miss or turn a blind eye to anything bad and everything their leaders do.
