I heard a Christian recently make the claim that Jews that are under Rabbis are taught NOT to study the Old Testament but to study the Talmud and the Kabbala. Now I fully expect any answer from a Jewish person to say this is nonsense but I would like to hear anyone who can shed any light on the contrary or if indeed it is nonsense which of course it may well be – after all- we are all told by The Bible to study any matter ourselves and to be like Bareans.
The question is, is this true and can anyone out there point us into the right direction regarding this or if in fact it is in error? In the meantime I will look this matter up further. Feel free to leave comments below on this.
