Why was the Word manifest in flesh? The reason this had to happen is very simple yet very profound. Jesus Christ proclaimed what truth always was, and always is and always will be. Nothing he said was irrational, unfair, untrue or unjust or irreproachable or wrong in any way. He came to tell us in no uncertain terms exactly what truth is and how we should live – to proclaim righteousness – to be light in darkness.
But still, what are we to do with this and what did he come for apart from this? The reason he came is because now that we have heard the truth we now much choose. It is this choosing that he came to enforce on us. Jesus will enforce nothing except to ither to choose his way or the highway!
Righteousness is the ONLY thing he will make all people choose. What do you what? Which way di YOU want to go? Are you going to choose the light regardless of how bad you have been (all sins of which can be forgiven), or do you love your dark deeds so much you would prefer to stay in the dark with all your sins and take them to hell with you?
