Men have been saying they are God, they are the saviour, they are the Messiah, they are The Christ, they are the One, since the beginning of time. But the Bible makes it very, very, very clear that if and when the Messiah, or God in flesh, or God in any form He choses does re-appear on the scene, He will not be announcing it with His own mouth.
Why not? Because he won’t need to! This is actually very convenient for all those of us that are concerned about how we will know or how we will ‘spot’ the real saviour, the real Messiah – because God has told us ahead of time that EVERYONE will know who He is when He appears. In other words, if some man steps us (as they have done and will do until the real God comes) and says; I am God – or I am the One – don’t believe it – even if he is accompanied (as the Bible says this man will be) by ‘signs’ and ‘wonders’.
So if like me you were once worried that you might miss the real Messiah – don’t. God in His wisdom has and will see to it that we are not left guessing (what kind of God would do that?). This is why the Bible says; “if someone says; “come – the Christ is here or there, or in the wilderness, or in this temple or that” (my paraphrase – check the verse yourself) – it is without question the deception the Bible and Jesus spoke of over and over – and over!
