Well as a Christian you probably do believe that spirits and demons exist as Jesus told us over and over so unambiguously, just like he spoke to us and warned us about hell more often that he spoke of the pleasures of heaven which oddly he rarely spoke of – but if you are part of the new ‘progressive’ Christian movement that don’t believe in The Devil, evil, hell fire and hell etc, and that evil spirits and demons cannot possibly exist and are just folklore, then it might be worth considering the following fact;
It is that evil and deceiving spirits already exist all over the planet – in the workplace, in homes, in schools, universities, politics and even in churches. The only difference between the ones Jesus spoke of and dealt with is that the ones I am describing are clothed in flesh. Of course I am talking about people.
Now the fact that these spirits are wearing flesh should not make you think that sprits without flesh cannot exist – for the Bible tells us that God himself – the most powerful being in existence on which our faith is entirely based, is spirit when The Bibles says; “God is spirit.”
So our advice on this matter would be (granted it wasn’t asked for but we think it’s important to consider) is; do not be deceived into thinking demons and evil sprits do not exist just because they may not be clothed in the same kind of flesh that we are clothed in – or because they may not have flesh at all as the Bible indicates God Himself does not – but take Jesus at his word when he talks and warns us of controlling spirits not visible to the eye. That would be much smarter, as the teachings on demons comes from Christ – the God-man – God’s spirit in flesh that never spoke any unmeasured or irrational words.
