Doctrines Are Like Snow Balls

Here’s what you don’t often hear at church; the way to understand doctrine is through godly living and the holy spirits guidance – or to put it another way; if you are heavily and wilfully sinning against your better knowledge, your natural animal man that loves comfort over truth will become confused, and try to bend the doctrine to fit your lifestyle and personal preferences and accordingly you will as god promised be dealt strong delusion. But now there is another problem. And unless you turn to God for help – there is not much you can do about it. God sends strong delusion to those that do not love truth – a sobering thought but a just reward for not seeking truth don’t you think?

The snowball effect

Like a correct doctrine will bring heaps of blessings, one bad doctrine will spawn 100 other bad ones, and they 100 more like a weed out of control. You will have to earnest seek the spirit to unravel the mistakes. Therefore I feels it’s unwise, as I see so many pastors churches and denominations not just holding fast to what they believe to be true – that’s a good thing according to The Bible – after all it tells us that God winks at our ignorance and what man can be faulted if he believes something to be true with all his heart?.. but arrogantly telling all that they are indisputably right, and everyone else is wrong. Now I’m not for one minute saying all doctrines are right and all roads lead to God – if that were true, when someone wanted to know the way to the baker’s we would just say; “take any road – they all lead to the same place” which is clearly absurd.

The heart is wicked

The problem is the heart may have led us astray and we may have a doctrine wrong or incomplete, or cherry picked the parts of the possible meanings of any doctrine we prefer rather than ask ourselves what is really true – even if it makes us uncomfortable.

God dislikes a haughty look more than anything (looking down on others)

So should we not preach if we are unsure about something? Sometimes yes – but don’t be scared to preach what you believe to be true in your heart – but always be open to correction from the Holy Spirit – the teacher of all things, The Bible – man’s user manual and of course God’s vessels – His people who also hear from the Spirit. so slow down on condemning others and be quicker and more diligent to study yourself. We must always be humble and do our own thorough research into any matter – even other religions and understand them thoroughly before we say something is wrong – which it may well be. God bless you in your search for truth!
